The Split Charter Yachts

Split Croatia is famed as the cultural capital of the country. There are various Music and Film Festivals held annually, with many local Authors, a selection of writers and great Theatre.

Split lies in the heart of the Dalmatian region. It's favoured geographical location 150km north of Dubrovnik, and east of Trogir and the Kornati Islands make it very convenient for Water Sports, especially Sailing and Diving. Split has the largest population of all Croatian cities in the Adriatic.

The city has a beautiful Old Town where the Roman Emperor Diocletian (famous for throwing Jesus fans to the lions) built a retirement palace here. The Palace is one of the most majestic of Roman ruins in Europe. The Imperial Residence, the Temples and a mausoleum are fascinating to explore.

Alongside the palace is the town hall from the 15th century and some Medieval Buildings which are an Architect's delight.
