Rogoznica

Rogoznica is a beautiful seaside resort located less than 5 Miles southeast of Primošten. It is linked to Sibenik and Split by the excellent Adriatic Highway.

One part of Rogoznica lies on the coast and is called Kopaca while the other was originally an island that has been converted into a peninsula on which the Village of Rognica is built. Rogoznica was founded in the early 16th Century. It has excellent Fishing and is a great vacation destination.

Rogoznica offers a bit of something for everyone. There are quiet paths leading through the pine tree wood, isolated bays and beaches, beautiful Anchorages and Great Sailing. There is a colourful and animated market in the mornings and a multitude of people amongst the bar and restaurant terraces in the evenings. Nearby there is a salt lake called "The Eye of the Dragon". It is considered by scientists to be a remarkable phenomenon of nature for its origin and the flora and fauna it contains. The people of Rogoznica can tell many legends about it.
