PALMA dE MALLORCA – TROFEO SAR PRINCESA SOFIA - APRIL 2007The regatta, hosted by the Real Club Nautico de Palma and organized with the support of the Federación Balear de Vela as well as the Real Federación Española de Vela, is named after her royal highness Princess Sofia, who officially awards the winners in all participating classes. The program includes up to six races in the classes IMS 500, 600, 670, C, and D counting with international and national teams of the Spanish and International IMS regatta scene. |

BARCELONA – GRAN PREMIO REAL CLUB NAUTICO DE BARCELONA (GP RCNB) - MAY 2007
A series of three regattas:
Trofeo Ermeneguildo Zegna - 12/05/06 Trofeo Freixenet - 19/05/06 Trofeo Conde Godó - 26/05/06
celebrated during three consecutive weekends in May, make up the GP RCNB awarded by the honorable President of the RCNB to the winning yacht of all three regattas. The program includes up to six races in the IMS 500, 600 and 670 class as well as IRC class during each of the three weekends. Prizes are awarded by each of the respective sponsors within all participating categories. All major national teams as well as a number of international sailing teams participate at this event at the Spanish capital of sports, design and art. |

CASTELLON – COSTA AZAHAR - JUNE 2007
The regatta, hosted by the Real Club Nautico de Castellón and organized with the support of the Federación Valenciana de Vela as well as the Real Federación Española de Vela, is named after the famous coast of the orange trees. The program includes up to six races in the classes IMS 500, 600, 670, C, and D counting with international and national teams of the Spanish and International IMS regatta scene, serving as a prelude to the Trofeo SM La Reina taking place the week after. |

VALENCIA – TROFEO S.M. LA REINA - JUNE & JULY 2007The Real Club Nautico de Valencia set up the Trofeo Marcial Sanchez-Barcaiztegui, in 1988 to host its own national cruiser regatta and pay homage to a distinguished admiral of the Spanish marine forces. The regatta was chaired by the His Majesty Juan Carlos de Borbon, King of Spain since 1989. With the approval of her Majesty Queen Sofia, the Cup became the Trofeo De S.M. La Reina – Regatta Homenaje a la Armada – Copa Almirante Sanchez-Barcaiztegui and ever since counted with the attendance, participation and support of the royal family. The program includes up to six races in the classes IMS 500, 600, 670, C, D and IMS Club as well as classic’s races during three days. Prices are awarded by the Royal Family, the Armada and the RCNV within all classes. All important national sailing teams, as well as several international teams participate in the event as a prelude to the Copa del Rey at Palma de Mallorca. |

PALMA DE MALLORCA – COPA DEL REY - JULY & AUGUST 2007 With a history that goes back twenty three years, the Copa del Rey has become the largest and most important cruiser regatta in the Mediterranean and a first-class event in the world calendar. Over the years, the regatta has developed into a show cast of the worlds elite teams from all over the world. In 2003, More than 30 teams that competed in the Copa America competed in the XXII Copa de Rey. The roster of the competing teams showed that the Copa de Rey had become a world class event. For the second consecutive year, Caixa Galicia in Group 500 out duelled Bribon and Baleria respectively. The top 3 finishers were all Spanish. In Group 600 Vasco Vascotto's Italtel dominated from start to finish winning easily. Zurich and Wind finished second and third to round the group. In the 2006 edition yachts will participate in the IMS 500, 600, 670 and class M. During 7 days, up to two races per day, including two off-shore races held on two consecutive days. Prizes are awarded in each class by his royal highness Juan Carlos de Borbon, King of Spain. |
